Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for a fleet of vehicles
- Utilize DAT Freight & Analytics Management systems to track shipments and manage logistics
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor shipping and receiving processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Perform data entry tasks to update transportation records and maintain accurate documentation
- Use phone systems to communicate with drivers and resolve any issues or delays
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members
- Proficient in using transportation management systems such as SyteLine, AS400, Oracle Transportation Management, etc.
- Attention to detail to accurately track shipments and maintain transportation records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Familiarity with fleet management and shipping/receiving processes is preferred
